The ATS-12 Unit is a compact Sub-Woofer, specifically developed to reproduce the lower end of the frequencies spectrum.
It is mounted as a single tuned Band Pass system with two 12"
transducers in an "Isobaric Push-Pull" configuration. A powerful bass response is thus attained in this small
footprint cabinet.
For its correct performance, it is necessary to use it with a
24 or 48 dB/Oct. Sub-sonic filter, as recommended in the Specifications.
Its twin 12 inches transducers are separately cabled to the circuit board, so as to allow their independent connection to two different Power Amp channels, (8 Ohm operation), or together in parallel to a single channel, through the bridges
present on the connectors plate, (4 Ohm operation). Due to its Isobaric configuration, in the first case, the signals applied to the unit have to be strictly the same, from a mono source.
